The PS4 and PS5 release schedule for this coming week is a bit thin on the ground. By my count, there are only eight new PS4 and PS5 games coming out this week but there is a couple of big titles ad some smaller ones to keep gamers happy. Everyone is still probably playing God of War Ragnarok anyway.
The biggest game releasing this week is probably Evil West. It’s a third-person shooter set in the Wild West where you play as Jesse Rentier, a vampire hunter trying to protect the American Frontier from supernatural creatures.
Another third-person action shooter releasing this week is Gungrave G.O.R.E by South Korean developer IGGYMOB. In this one, you play as Grave, a bad-ass gunslinger and anti-hero who mows down enemies in a gory ballet of bullets apparently.
Also releasing on the same day as the abovementioned games is Saint Kotar. Saint Kotar is a psychological horror detective game set in rural Croatia. This is another game with confusing release dates. I originally had this down as a 14th October release and there is even a console release date trailer that states this date. But the PlayStation Store and a couple of other sources have this as coming out on November 22nd. So, yea, I have no idea what’s going on with some of these release dates.
Another game that got its release date changed is Do Not Open (Now called Do Not Open: Hide, Solve or Die). It was supposed to launch on November 15th. But this has been changed to November 25th so the digital version and physical version will release at the same time. Do Not Open is a horror game with escape room mechanics and procedural puzzles. It looks and sounds quite good. The developer Nox Noctis has said they are working on a PS VR2 version which they hope to launch next year.
