Another new week means another load of excellent PS5, PSVR2 and PS4 games heading our way. This week is pretty good and sees The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered land on PS5 on Thursday the 19th.

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered on PS5 features not only a chance for fans to replay the game again on PS5 but also features some cool new features. For guitar players who remember the Ellie guitar section in The Last of Us Part 2, that mode is being expanded to feature different playable characters, unlockable instruments and FX pedals.

The Remastered version of The Last of Us Part 2 will also include three lost levels with developer commentary and of course the roguelike survival mode No Return.

Also out this week is Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. I would prefer to have the oft-delayed but still-in-development Sands of Time remake but this side-scrolling Metroidvania take on Prince of Persia will have to do. I must admit it looks quite fun but I am not sure how I feel about the 2D, side-scrolling gameplay. From first glance it does seem a bit closer to the original 1989 Prince of Persia than the 2000;s 3D games.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown seems to have pleased the game critics though and it currently sits with a very nice 86 on Metacritic.

PSVR2 A-Plenty

This coming week is also a great week for PSVR2 owners. The first to come to our headsets this week is the highly anticipated sci-fi adventure shooter Vertigo 2. After getting delayed from it;s original December release date the Perp Games published, highly acclaimed VR adventure finally hits PlayStation VR2 on January 15th.

Also for PSVR2 this week is the delightful looking Toy Trains VR. Built by ex-Superhot developers Toy Trains is a nostalgic and creative VR experience that invites players to build tracks and solve puzzles in a cosy, colourful miniature world.

Last but not least is Bulletstorm VR. The VR FPS developed by Incuvo and published by People Can Fly comes to PSVR2 after a bit of a delay as well. If you like the flat version of Bulletstorm you’ll be sure to love the VR version as it features the iconic Bulletstorm energy leash to create acts of carnage on your enemies. There will also be plenty of guns and melee combat. Bulletstorm VR is out on January 18th.
