Grand Theft Auto developer Rockstar has announced that they will drop the first trailer for GTA 6 this coming Tuesday.
The highly anticipated sixth game in the GTA series has fans watering at the mouth in anticipation. The trailer will be the first official look at the game but it is not known if it will be all CGI or if actual gameplay will be shown.
Rockstar announced the trailer drop via X(formerly Twitter) and fans have descended into hysteria.
GTA 6 could end up being one of the biggest video games ever. Its predecessor, GTA 5 has sold over 190 million copies and has been released on three generations of PlayStation consoles.
Rockstar Games officially announced the existence of the next GTA game in a press release in February 2022. “We are pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway. We look forward to sharing more as soon as we are ready.” Rockstar said at the time.
In September 2022 GTA 6 suffered a massive leak due to a hacker gaining entry to Rockstar’s Slack groups. Numerous video clips showing in-development footage of the game were leaked.
GTA 6 Release Date
It is not known when GTA 6 will release but speculation points to somewhere between 2024 and 2025.
GTA 6 will be coming to PS5 undoubtedly but it is not known if Sony is in the process of negotiating any kind of exclusivity deal.
