Bend Studio’s new PS5 game they are working on will be a “AAA” “live-service” game according to a recent job listing.
The job listing for a Lead Project Manager, Game Development lists one of the requirements as “Hands-on game development experience in leadership roles shipping AAA live service games.” Another additional item asks that the candidate has “Experience redefining studios from traditional “boxed product” focused game development into live service development studios in a key leadership role.”
Bend Studio are perhaps best known for making the 2019 open-world action game Days Gone. The studio also developed the Syphon Filter series and Resistance Retribution. The Oeregon-based developer also made two Uncharted games for the PlayStation Vita.
A “very exciting” game that builds on the open-world systems of Days Gone
Back in June 2021, PlayStation Studios head Herman Hulst revealed that Bend was working on a new project. Hulst called it “very exciting” and said the team at Bend where very passionate about the new IP.
Hulst also revealed at the time that the new game would build upon the open-world systems that the studio had developed for Days Gone.
A year later, Bend unveiled a new studio logo and revealed that the new IP they were working on would include multiplayer. The studio also reaffirmed that the new IP would build upon the open-world systems of Days Gone.

More recently, in November last year, a concept artist who said they worked on both Marvel’s WOlverine and Bend Studio’s new game claimed that Bends’ new project would be released in 2025.
No other information has been revealed about Bend Studio’s new PS5 game. But if it’s going to be open-world and maybe similar to Days Gone, then it should be pretty good.
