Sony’s official console covers for PlayStation 5, which went on sale in January via PlayStation Direct, appear to have been delayed at third party retailers. The Midnight Black and Cosmic Red PS5 covers were originally supposed to launch at participating retailers today. But are still only available via PlayStation Direct.
The PS5 console covers were actually supposed to be available from January at select retailers but its seems this got pushed back. Now it looks like the sale of official PS5 console covers has again been delayed.
There’s no official word yet from Sony on the reason for the delay or when the official console covers will become available at retailers such as Amazona and Argos.
The Nova Pink, Galactic Purple, and Starlight Blue PS5 console covers are also expected to launch in the first half of 2022. This gives a total of five different colours to choose from. The console covers colours can be paired with a matching DualSense colour.
