PS5 Fan Is So Quiet, No More Sounding Like A Jet Engine

The sound of silence

PS5 fan is very quiet

YouTubers, influencers and media from got to go hands-on with the PS5 yesterday at the #TryPS5 event, part of YouTube Gaming Week. They tried out a few games such as Astro’s Playroom, Godfall, DMC 5 SE & Balan Wonderworld.

Overall, it seemed that the first impressions of the PS5 where very positive/ All the gameplay shown at the event looked great. But, perhaps one of the best pieces of news to come out of hands-on was the fact that the PS5 will be very quiet.

To tell you the truth, even more than the loading function, we were shocked at how quiet the fan was. I’m sure there are many people who have been wondering about this. It’s so quiet!

That is what one of the event participants had to say about the PS5 noise or lack thereof in an interview with Japanese site Dengeki.

The PS5 fan will be very quiet

In the same interview, the YouTuber also mentioned that the PS5’s cooling system seems great.

The last time I touched the [PS5], I didn’t feel much heat and …… seems to be no need to worry about the heat exhaustion structure.

So the PS5 will have a very quiet fan and won’t overheat easily. This is great news for us gamers who have had to put up with the PS4 and PS4 Pro’s Jet Engine or Vacuum cleaner like sounds.

No longer will the consoles fan noise drown out the music and sound effects of the game you’re playing.

The PS5 is launching on November 12th in USA, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand & South Korea and on November 19th in UK, Europe and the rest of the world.
