Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, which includes the amazing Uncharted 4 a Thieves End and the downright awesome Uncharted: Lost Legacy launches on PS5 in just seven days time. On January 28th 2022 to be precise.
To celebrate the game’s launch, Naughty Dog and PlayStation have released an equally amazing launch trailer for you to ogle at.
The launch trailer shows some amazing scenes from both games. If you have never played Uncharted 4 or Lost Legacy before, you are in for a treat. The Uncharted series is one of my favourite game series and are some of the best games ever to grace a PlayStation console.
Back in the PS3 days, the Uncarted games were the only story games where I didn’t want to skip the cut scenes. And the cinematic gameplay sequences have made me say “Holy shit, that was awesome” on several occasions.
PS5 Improvements
As you would expect, there are several improvements for PS5 that come with the Remastered Uncharted games in the Legacy of Thieves Collection. The remastered games will come with three graphical modes to choose from:
- Fidelity Mode – 4K resolution with 30FPS
- performance Mode – targets a 60FPS framerate
- performance+ Mode – targets 120FPS : 1080p resolution
Uncharted: The Legacy of Thieves collection will also utilise the PS5’s SSD so load times will be near-instantaneous. Load times will also be super fast if you store the game on an M.2 SSD.
The remastered Uncharted games will also feature Spacial 3D Audio and you will be able to feel the guns thanks to the awesome haptics and adaptive triggers of the DualSense controller.
£10 upgrade you own the PS4 version of either game
Sadly, Sony is not offering a free upgrade to the remastered Uncharted: The Legacy of Thieves Collection if you own the games on PS4. But, you can still upgrade for the relatively low price of £10 or $10.
You can take advantage of the upgrade price if you own either game (disk or digitally) or the Uncharted 4/Lost Legacy digital bundle. You can upgrade from January 28th when the collection is released.
